The protagonist of this monodrama is a mysterious Israeli lawyer. The cryptic tale depicts his coincidental encounter with a young stranger in a Western European city. The meeting with this stranger—who is remembered as an unpleasant, cheeky personality—seems to have been an experience that deprived the old man of his sense of stability. His judgmental views are tested by the nonchalant behavior of the young man and the elder’s remarks about his “temporary comrade,” alongside the eloquent descriptions of the surroundings of the city and the objects they come across during the course of their adventure, emphasize the complexity of the lawyer’s personality.
